Posts comments and topics in forums
Find out which forums cover your industry or area of expertise. Register with as many forums as possible and put a link to your website each time you make a comment. Post new topics and answer other people’s queries, and join in as much as you can. Refer people through to your own website but don’t plug your site too much as you might end up being booted out of the forum.
Post stuff on blogs
Find out who is blogging about stuff in your industry and make comments on their blog entries. Use the opportunity to put a link to your site in your signature and make sure you come across as sincere and willing to help others, rather than someone who is desperate to big up their own website.
Directory listings
Get out there and make sure your website is listed in as many website directories as possible, making sure that you’re listed in the section that’s relevant to your business industry. Select ‘add my site’ and enter your details. It’s not tricky but it does take a bit of time and effort.

Link Building is time consuming and you can say a very boring job. It is also important that while creating these links you must put your efforts in QUALITY linking. For instance, if you try searching a website by any keyword you will see there are some website which ahs very less back links but still in TOP 10. Reason may be that it has quality and relevant links.
A back link is a link from another website to yours. Link exchange is now no more effective so you need to do three ways linking for link exchange. Many people Buy links but that is again very costly and not permanent.

It can increase traffic to your website.

Its also help to improve your ranking on search engine results pages.

All businesses want their websites ranked at the top with search engines, so how does one go about doing this? There are many different ways to help get your website ranked higher during those searches. A key way of increasing your web traffic and optimizing your site for search engines is by increasing the number of organic links to your site. Previously, a couple of the more conventional ways to build links were through directory submission or buying links. The value in using these artificial methods have declined, there are different search engines that do not even recommend using high quality paid directories. In respect of Google’s recent laws, paying for links is not allowed, and many companies are being penalized.
Stop building links artificially and utilize one or more of the following ways to build links organically, optimizing your search engine rankings.
Create a genuine yearly competition or organize a charitable event such as blog action day.
Mirror a high traffic site such as free software sites / open source software sites, or an activist site.
Join social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Yelp, Inc.and maintain them over time.
Offer a rebate for a particular group, such as working class families, veterans or whichever disadvantaged group you decide upon.
Maintain a business blog that is updated regularly with high value resources.
Posting articles on a few quality article directories with your resource box and URL is a sure fire way of creating back links.
Send out a press release via a few online services.
Network through business colleagues and people you know and have them link to you.
Answer questions in different forums like Yahoo Answers.
Go Green, start a green initiative. There are countless opportunities on how to go about achieving this, carbon free websites is a great example.
Add resources to user generated sites like associated content or zimbio.
Create a regularly updated resource list like the Web developer’s Handbook that people will continue to refer back to and refer others to.
Get your content translated and republished in multiple languages and countries.
Create CSS solutions for common tasks or CSS problems, or even more effective would be a whole set of solutions.
Program a free tool or software everyone needs for a specific niche, but not one that everybody offers yet.
Fashion an enduring partnership with similar service providers, like a graphic design agency joining forces with a PSD2XHTML provider.
Publish recipes for healthy, Greek, Indian, raw or any type of food that is desirable to others but not everybody can buy.
Perform a community service or help with animals and display images of them for others to see.
Join a community and become one of the more prominent members like Maki of DoshDosh did on Sphinn and Digg.
Build a community like 9Rules where people “proudly” are part of and display it on their sites.
Develop a Firefox plugin for a common reoccurring task or having to deal with a widely spread annoyance, like BugMeNot .
Join the “freebies” bandwagon, people love free stuff and when everyone loves you, the people willing to spend money will find you.
Offer free music or other audio downloads, or at least a way to listen to the audio online.
Give away a free eBook, or better yet offer several free eBooks like O’Reilly does.
Offer free high quality icons for download and free use.
Have background patterns available for free for web designers.
Give away free wallpapers for download and invite artists to modify.
Offer free scripts and “chunks code” for webmasters to use freely.
Offer fundamental self improvement quotes or advice like hackyourself
Give away images using a creative commons provider such as creative commons on your website.
These are a few of the ways you are able to build links naturally and enhance you SEO. Keep this in mind when you go from very few links to having an additional 3,000 in a week, the spiders notice it and your ranking drops. So stay consistent with building your links naturally and avoid the artificial means of link building.

3 Shocking Ways That Web Masters Reduce Their Link Exchange Results

Swapping links is still a tremendously popular method of building incoming links to your website and so increasing your visitor numbers.
But there are still an astonishingly large number of ways in which web masters make it difficult for other people to exchange links with them.
And let’s be honest – the easier you make it for other web masters, the more links you will end up with.
So let’s examine some of these ways as examples of tactics you should avoid if at all possible in your campaigns. All three of these examples are things I have seen on live websites in the last week or so, so these are really going on right now.
1) Demanding A Minimum PageRank (PR)
To many web masters, PR is the be all and end all of link swapping. To a certain degree this makes sense but be aware that Google is getting smartrer all the time. If it spots a site with no PR0 sites linking to them then this may well look unnatural.
And Google doesn’t like annatural. It’s one way Google ascertains whether you’re trying to “game the system” and if you get caught you may find yourself delisted from Google altogether.
What’s more, a PR0 site will likely gain Page Rank at the next Google update if it’s a new site, so you would have had a quality link on that site if you were willing to be patient.
Infact, I’ve had sites go from PR0 to PR4 in a single indexing (and plenty of other people have experienced the opposite as their Page Rank vanishes overnight).
So the point is – you’re making decisions based on a highly fluid and flexible quality like Page Rank whihc will be constantly changing. And as a result you’re shooting yourself in the foot.
Make the *quality* of the site in question the primary decision-making factor and I think you’ll have a far better long-term strategy.
2) No Blog Links
It’s true that spam blogs (or “splogs”) are rife but equally there is an ever growing number of good-quality blogs with excellent content, high readerships and lots of incoming links.
Excluding blogs altogether rules out exchanges with a huge pool of sites that are perfect for link exhcanges so take off your blinkers.
Indeed, with blogs being accepted into standard search engines and directories *as well as* specialised blog and RSS directories, this can even mean that they offer your site even more that a standard website.
3) No Link Exchange Form
Too many sites still expect web masters to email them to exchange links rathet than filling in a small form on their website. Not only is this frustrating for potential linkers because it’s so slow but emails increasingly get lost in cyberspace or in today’s spam filters and so may not even be received.
So use a contact form which makes life easier for visitors to your site and also ensures you get all the information you need to make a decision about te suitability of potential link partners.

Predicting Your Future Health – New Ways To Deliver Health-care

Predictive Health-care may not be a household term quite yet, but basically this new, emerging way of delivering health-care in the US focuses on predicting health and its risk factors, as opposed to waiting for disease to begin. Predictive Health-care delivery is by no means a niche market idea in the realm of Alternative Medicine, a feasibility study has been published by a mainstream institution: Emory University Predictive Health Initiative. It alludes to the many advantages including cost savings.
The Change to “Measuring Health” before Discovering Disease
Health is commonly defined as the absence of disease symptoms, and it is disease symptoms that are commercially relevant. In fact, today’s Health-care systems are all set-up to measure disease, we are searching for what’s wrong, not what’s right. However, physical symptoms are evidence of the last stage in the progression of an Illness which originated much earlier. Thus, the purpose of Preventive- or Predictive Health is to identify any sign of degradation in the “whole Health”, usually referred to as Holistic Health and what is perceived as Vitality. Whole Health consists of the 6 interweaving elements: Physical – Mental – Emotional – Spiritual – Social – Intellectual Health. As Physical Illness is usually the final manifestation of an Emotional Trauma, treating the Physical Symptom is only a temporary fix. In the attempt to forestall Physical Illness we need to identify the potential cause for the loss of Vitality – and Lifestyle is the usual culprit. By Lifestyle we mean the person’s intentional choices such as Nutrition and Activities, and circumstantial factors, such as Environmental Exposure, History, Believes, Social Integration, etc.
Conventional Health-care is not concerned with these intertwining Mind-Body issues, because the medical science consensus neither extends to analytical methods nor the interpretation of results. The generally accepted medical standard for diagnosing disease rests on sample collection, which can be reduced to numerical values, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, body fat, bone density and various biomarkers.
In Predictive Health such samples and methods may be used, but in presumed healthy people, these “disease markers” just resemble a snap shot of a condition at the time of sample collection. If all results check out in the “Normal” range, a person is considered physically healthy, even when all 5 non-physical health elements are compromised. In such case, a physical symptom has just not yet established itself measurably.
Holistic Health or Vitality may be defined as the sum of all 6-elements that comprise whole Health. A person, who has been clinically classified as physically healthy, may however completely lack Vitality, if any of the non-physical elements is weakened; while we may perceive a person to have great Vitality, if all health elements are strong and in harmony.
What is needed is a process that measures Vitality as the sum of all Health elements. As Vitality is a highly volatile condition, we cannot solely rely on static samples to predict a person’s susceptibility to contract any disease, nor can we recommend a Nutritional concept or Lifestyle modification based on static numericals, such as cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and insulin. Instead, we have to dynamically monitor how well a person copes with lifestyle specific conditions that include various degrees of stress and rest, and we have to measure cellular function under changing situations. We want to assess the wear and tear that the body has undergone to date.
These Test results incorruptibly and reproducibly portray a person’s immunity, strengths and vulnerabilities . When correlated with the person’s history, lifestyle and personal objectives, a Lifestyle optimization program (behavior modification) can be generated that does not rely on lifetime prescription drugs.
Predictive Health – a quantum leap in Health-care
The passionate debates on Health-care reform are far from over and will not come to a consensus as long as it is wholly focused on pharmaceuticals based symptoms fixing, all while people get more concerned about their sustained Health.
A Japanese “Attitude Survey on Health and Preparation” (November 1, 2010; Hello-Global.com) states that 69.4% of the respondents “are worried about their future health”. There are more indications of people’s concerns about their future Health: In the US we are seeing sustained increase in growth rates for Organic Foods even in a recession. The statistics furnish the evidence that people are awaking to the fact that protecting health is better than recovering from illness. The leading market research and information analysis company RNCOS Press Release of October 29, 2010 reveals that the US Organic Food Industry will orchestrate 12.2% CAGR during 2010-2014. North American market growth for Organic Personal Care products amounts to 20% annually, according to Organic Monitor.
“Even in the midst of the economic downturn, the Gym, Health & Fitness Clubs industry has maintained steady growth, with membership rates growing consistently and profits remaining solid. Demand for gyms and health and fitness clubs will continue to rise over the next five years, as the general public becomes more health conscious and the aging population places a greater value on staying fit” – According to IBIS World Industry Report of September 17, 2010. Merriman Curhan Ford, Fitness & Wellness Industry Report predicts US sales of Health and Wellness goods to reach $ 170 billion by 2012, a growth of 70% in 5 years. Gym memberships for people over 50 will rise even more dramatic over the next 10 years with a target market potential of 139.2 million people by 2020; according to Capital Connection, March 2010 Newsletter. The Nutritional Supplements market in the US will exceed billion in 2014, yielding a compound annual growth rate of 7%; says Market Resaearch.com, in the September 2, 2010 Press Release.
These trend numbers clearly portray the global shift to Preventive Health, lead by the US which boasts the highest Health-care costs in the world. If we are truly concerned about our future health, evidenced by spending substantial money for healthy food and lifestyle, it should come naturally that we can no longer rely on drug-centric sick-care, but opt for Predictive and Preventive care.

10 Ways To Get Incoming Links To Your Website

Obtaining incoming links to your website fulfills two main objectives. Firstly it increases the traffic you could potentially receive to your site because the more links you have the more traffic you should receive, and secondly, by obtaining links from pages with a good page rank you can increase your own page rank which, although not the deciding factor, will help boost your ranking in the search engines.
Listed below are ten ways in which you can obtain these sought-after links.
1. Exchange Links With Other Websites
This process, known as reciprocal linking, is common place on the internet, and is something most webmasters do. However, while it’s something you should do, it’s important to note that search engines place more importance on one-way links than two-way or reciprocal links.
2. Submit Your Website To Directories
This is a good way of getting one-way links to your site (if a reciprocal link is not required). There are numerous directories you can submit to, offering both free and paid submissions. When deciding on whether paid submissions are worth it, you should look at the page where your link is expected to appear and see if it has a reasonable page rank, and the number of other links that appear on that page, with the fewer the better.
3. Build A Network Of Websites And Interlink Them
When building multiple websites it makes sense to interlink them, preferably from a home page link for maximum benefit. This can be very beneficial if each of your websites is on a different server, but be careful if they are hosted on the same server, as the search engines will think you’re deliberately manipulating their results, and will most likely prevent you from achieving higher rankings.
4. Write Articles
This is a very powerful method of obtaining a lot of incoming one-way links to your site. By submitting your articles, which include the all important resource box with the link to your site, to multiple article directories you can pick up backlinks from not only these article directories but from other websites who pick up your articles and include them on their website or blog.
5. Write Press Releases
Writing a compelling news-worthy press release about your site or related topic, can also result in multiple websites and news sources picking it up and linking to your site. This is a very effective way of obtaining numerous one-way links very quickly, but doesn’t offer the long-term benefits that articles do.
6. Create A Blog
Blogs are very easy to create with multiple websites offering free services, so there is no excuse for not creating a blog related to and linking to your main website. You could post anything – your thoughts, articles, or affiliate program reviews, for example, but make sure you include a link to your site in the links section, and at the end of each post if appropriate.
7. Leave Comments On Blogs And Guestbooks
You’ve got to be careful with this method that you don’t abuse it and start spamming other people’s blogs or guestbooks. Leave legitimate comments, and make it look like you actually have something to contribute. For example, just saying “Great Blog!” and then leaving your link is rightly considered to be spam, and will also damage your reputation in the long run.
8. Post On Forums That Allow Sig Files
Sig files are the line(s) that appear at the bottom of each message and act as a discreet way of advertising your site. You won’t get a great deal of benefit in terms of page rank, as most forums do not have a high page rank for their threads, but you will build up a good number of links, and as forums generally tend to get spidered by the search engines regularly, they will follow the links to your site and subsequently spider your site on a regular basis.
9. Write Testimonials
By writing and submitting testimonials to websites that you have previously purchased products or services from, you can get high-quality links to your site, often from the home pages of the sites in question.
10. Buy Links
The final way to obtain incoming links is by simply buying them. This can have a dramatic effect on your page rank and subsequently your search engine rankings if you can get links from PR6+ sites, however the only problem with this is that most links for sale are often for a set period of time, usually a month, and so you have to keep buying them to maintain your higher page rank and rankings.
